A Martini is one of the most iconic and classic cocktails ever. Do you like it like Bond? Shaken not stirred? Vodka? Gin? Olives? Lemons? There’s so many ways to have your martini, and no one way is right!

Come learn all about the history and the variety of options in how to make and enjoy your martini with us! We’ll be dressed in our 60’s finery- just call us Rattner, Leepa-Rattner.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 ounces gin or vodka
  • 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
  • ice

A cocktail the old fashioned’ way learn about how this drink has evolved over the years. Sugar, bourbon, orange peel and bitters, this is one of the simplest and most popular drinks of all time!

We’ll explore the history of whiskey, talk about the difference between rye and bourbon, and try out all kinds of garnishes like smoked rosemary! Like a midwestern old-fashioned? Well, we won’t be making those (with muddled fruit) – sorry!

Learn how to make simple syrup, rich simple syrup, Demerara syrup, peanut fat washed bourbon, and more!

  • 1 sugar cube or simple syrup
  • 2 to 3 dashes ​Angostura bitters
  • 2 ounces ​bourbon (or rye whiskey)

3/4 oz. fresh lime juice

1/4 oz. rich simple syrup

1/4 oz. orgeat

1/2 oz. dry curacao

2 oz. blended aged rum

Garnish: fresh mint and lime wedge

A daiquiri is actually a family of cocktails that are comprised of rum, citrus juice, sugar and ice – that’s it! One of the classic cocktails, we’ll explore a few different variations of the cocktail including the traditional Hemingway!

The Hemingway Daiquiri

2 oz. light rum such as Flor de Cana Extra Dry 4 year

3/4 oz. fresh lime juice

1/2 oz. fresh grapefruit juice

1/2 oz. maraschino liqueur
