Great for ages 4-8, this program features books about art read by the Youth Librarian at Palm Harbor Library, Marisa Steuer. LRMA’s Education Department leads a related art activity. May’s theme is Lines Unleashed and the books are When a Line Bends… A Shape Begins by Rhonda Gowler Greene, The Clever Stick by John Lechner, and Beyond the Great Mountains by Ed Young.

Science Night at LRMA

 

To celebrate Weird Science: Technology and Art, LRMA will host an art-themed science night featuring Michael Davis, SPC-TS chemistry instructor and the Chair of the Natural Science department. Professor Davis will do two astounding science demos for all ages, and museum staff members will host hands-on activities blending science and art such as Starry Night-related projects and origami creations. The evening will also include gallery tours, art talks, and Slime Punch!
