LRMA Finance Committee Meeting

Finance Committee meeting on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.  This meeting will be held via Zoom.

 

In addition to our regular business, representatives from RSM, LRMA’s auditing firm, will be presenting LRMA’s 2019 990 tax return.  The 990 tax return preparation is currently in progress and will be sent under separate cover when completed.

LRMA Board of Directors Meeting

Each August the Board Meeting is a little different than others – we’ll get to review our 990 Tax Return and go over the annual audit of the Museum. This year, we welcome you to join our meeting early, at 2pm, to listen in as our tax auditor explains the 990 in detail to the Finance Committee of the Board.

RAINFOREST CANOPY

1.5oz of reposado tequila
1oz Orange juice
1oz Lime juice
1oz Grapefruit Juice
.5oz of Agave
Pinch of salt
Edible Mircoflower garnish

Add all ingredients into a shaker tin, and shake vigorously. Strain into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with edible microflowers.

Hot sandy beaches and cool frosty drinks. Nothing says Florida quite like a feet-in-the-sand, drink-in-your-hand moment. Join us as we explore the history of cocktails made popular here in Florida like the Rum Runner, The Mojito, and many more!

Rum Runner

Lime wedge (muddled in glass bottom)

1 oz. light rum

1 oz. medium rum

1 oz. pineapple juice

1 oz. simple syrup

1/2 oz. lime juice

egg white

 

Muddle lime wedge in bottom of shaker glass. Add additional ingredients (not the egg white) and ice. Shake vigorously. Strain. Add the shaken ingredients (minus the ice) and egg white back into the shaker. Shake vigorously (more than usual to froth the egg white). Strain into a tall glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and a cherry.

Summer Sunset

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 4 oz grapefruit juice
  • .25 oz grenadine
  • Grapefruit and umbrella garnish

Method: Add grenadine to a highball glass. Add grapefruit juice and vodka to a shaker. Shake then strain over ice into highball glass. Garnish with grapefruit slice and umbrella.
