Family Science Night @ Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art

Come and experience science! Join the faculty and staff of St. Petersburg College as we share our most exciting science experiences with the Tarpon Springs community. Guests will be able to witness experiments that blow-up, change color, and glow in the dark. Attendees will also make circuits out of play-dough and even pet a tarantula if they’re feeling brave.

This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Refreshments and art activities included. Please be sure to fill register ahead of time by clicking HERE.

Join Brandy Stark, co-founder of SPIRITS of St. Petersburg, a paranormal investigation team founded in 1997. Brandy’s research on animals and the supernatural, urban legends, folklore, and haunted activities inform this talk about the ghosts and legends of Tarpon Springs. Who knows, maybe “Cindy”, the ghost from Anclote Rd. will join us?

Costumes welcomed, Halloween-themed refreshments served.

Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art and Cycadia Cemetery Tour

 

The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art and the Tarpon Springs Area Historical Society have partnered to offer an intriguing, double-venue program inspired by the Museum’s special exhibition Deborah Masters: Spirits and ALTARed States: From The Collection.

Spirits and Their Stories begins at the Museum with a Curator’s Tour of the special exhibitions, continues with a light lunch at the Museum, and ends at Cycadia Cemetery for a walking tour led by actors portraying historical figures buried there!

Admission includes lunch. Advanced Purchase required by November 13th, 2019. Tickets may be purchased below or through the LRMA Visitor Services Desk.

Cycadia Cemetery is located two miles north of the Museum at 1005 E. Tarpon Ave. Program participants are responsible for transportation to the Cemetery from the Museum. Cemetery parking is limited – carpooling from the Museum is highly encouraged.
