Rattner’s Contemporaries in Paris Closes

Paris was considered the hub of creative expression in the 1920s and 1930s, and Abraham Rattner was in the middle of it all. Well-known artists influenced Rattner’s burgeoning style and worked alongside him. This exhibit showcases how the Parisian artists of the time influenced Rattner’s works, as well as art history as a whole, featuring prints by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Paul Signac, Max Ernst, Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Joan Miró and Abraham Rattner.

LRMA will host a “Photography Museum Meet-up” at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) that enriches LRMA’s photography exhibitions Selina Román: A Liminal State and The Museum Project, on view through September 23, 2018.

Participants will meet Patti Buster, LRMA’s Education Coordinator, at FMoPA at 11:00 a.m. for a guided tour of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts and lunch at Malio’s Prime Steakhouse at 12:30 p.m. Both venues are located in Rivergate Tower (400 N. Ashley Drive), one of downtown Tampa’s iconic buildings on the Hillsborough River.

Two special exhibitions – Beyond the Lens, 50 images by celebrated National Geographic photographer, Bruce Dale, and Tampa Photo Laureates, juried photographs of Tampa commissioned by the city’s Public Art Program – will be on view at FMoPA.

A minimum of five attendees is required for this event. All costs and transportation are the individual attendee’s responsibility. FMoPA admission is $5 for groups of 10 or more or $10 for adults and $8 for seniors.
