LRMA and SPC’s Center for International Programs have selected the film Henry and June to show during the Center’s International Film Series. The 1990 film, nominated for Best Cinematography, will enhance understanding of Henry Miller’s life in Paris and LRMA’s exhibition, Henry and Abe. Based on Anaïs Nin’s diaries about her relationships with Miller and his wife, June, the film chronicles explorations of liberation and self-discovery in 1930s Paris. A reception featuring refreshments and remarks will begin at 6:00, and the film will begin at 6:30. Please note: this film is rated NC-17 and no one 17 or under will be admitted.
